Nobody said it was going to be easy!
Three tough games on the bounce against Spurs, United and Chelsea were always going to test our credentials. Off that trio of games, we`ve lost the first, emphatically, at White Hart Lane and going to Old Trafford, this Wednesday night is a fearsome task.
But you just never know do you!
On the eve of our visit to Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson has come out with a glowing reference for Big Sam, remarking at his press conference, with regard to the great job Sam is doing / has done,
'What was his mandate? To get them up into the Premier League as quickly as possible and he got them up within a year. Tell me someone else who could've done that."
'He's very underrated, it's as simple as that.'
Let`s hope Sir Alex isn`t indulging in some of those famous mind games.
United are still without their club captain - Nemanja Vidic, whilst the veteran midfielder Paul Scholes is suspended.
With Scholes out, the indications are that Anderson will start.
One chance could scupper our hopes of taking anything home from Old Trafford, he is that lethal.
Big Sam will be looking towards the treatment room ruing the fact that Ricardo Vaz Te, Jack Collison and Yossi Benayoun are all out of contention.
With Mark Noble suspended our resources will be stretched, but don`t give up hope!
Can we have one of those familiar goals Kev? We might just need it.
Old Trafford is not a happy hunting ground and we rarely in recent times get anything out of Manchester United with United winning the last seven encounters between the sides.
But take heart, remember Paulo Di Canio? What a shock that was!
Andy Taylor will officiate in this fixture.
Can we win at Old Trafford? Doubtful! Can we get a draw at Old Trafford, possibly! Get my drift?
We entertain Chelsea this Saturday lunchtime, live on Sky Sports.
