Tevez wins Hammer of the Year

Argentina international Carlos Tevez has been awarded the Hammer of the Year trophy, collecting a whopping 84.5% of the vote. Bobby Zamora came in second with 5.5%, rounding off what could be a fantastic second half of the season for the pair now a win over Bolton was secured and it looks as if the great escape is still on.

Last year's winner Danny Gabbidon has been poor this season compared to last and has been hampered by injuries throughout.

Tevez, who has been in fabulous form recently, was handed the award for the 2006/7 season before kick off against Bolton Wanderers today, in the game he scored two and set up young Mark Noble in.

Please god let us stay up & keep him for next year. What a prospect next season would be.

Mark Noble to win it next season if we go down; Tevez if we stay up?
Adam Mansell
All our decent players will hopefully stay, which is incentive enough. Does anyone think Reo-Coker will stay if we don't go down?
