It wasn`t the most entertaining of games by far but at least the result gives David Moyes injury depleted squad the opportunity to make the next round via a replay.

Following the 0-0 draw, in Shropshire, both managers took the opportunity to speak to the media.

David Moyes had this to say:

'I felt Shrewsbury played well. In the first half we were never at it.

'I didn't have any other changes I could have made, only young boys on the bench. We put out everyone we had available today.

'If you have momentum like they do, they were strong defensively.

'The more opportunities we have to see the players the better. I think Josh Cullen was very good today and particularly as he's had two teeth knocked out.'

Whereas, Paul Hurst the Shrewsbury manager, who should feel proud of the effort his side put in, commented,

'The players are a little bit deflated almost.

'To their credit, they did extremely well but if we'd had just that little bit of quality and we may have got through. So it's mixed feelings really.

'But we have a replay to look forward to. We know it will be tough. They will be at home, more comfortable in their own stadium.'

Surely West Ham United can`t play as bad in the replay can they!
