Moyes Press-Conference - Leicester City (h)

Moyes Press-Conference - Leicester City (h)

Settling into his new role as the manager of West Ham United Football Club, David Moyes faced the journalists this afternoon as he prepared for his first home fixture in charge.

Having lost his first game in charge, away at Watford last Sunday, with the Hammers losing 2-0, Moyes explained the positives he took from what was, for the Hammers support, a very disappointing result, with Moyes remarking,

'We analysed the game, there were a lot of good things in the game and things we can say 'that was better', we passed it more and ran more - we have to look at the positives."

Continuing, Moyes explained what he was looking for from the players this Friday evening, commenting,

'I've only had one game with them, we do have players with big reputations and I'm looking for big performance"

When pushed on the inference that some of the West Ham fans weren`t pleased with his appointment, Moyes further added,

'I was a little surprised when I heard it. I want the fans behind us and to give us the best chance of winning. We all have to be together."

And on what he wants from the Friday night game,

'A win would be great and we need that. We have fixtures coming up that will be more difficult, winning changes how your week looks and how you go about the week.'

Let`s hope Moyes gets what we, and he, want!
