Sheringham Comments Nothing New
Teddy Sheringham's comments that players have too much 'leisure time' are hardly anything new to the game.
George Best blamed that as his problem in the 1960s; Stan Bowles in the 1970s; Brian Robson in the 1980s; Tony Adams 1990s ... the list goes on.
Sheringham: 'It's a problem, especially for youngsters coming into the game.
'They have so much money and so much time on their hands that they don't know what to do with it.
'You must be disciplined. My main focus was on being a professional footballer.
'That's my main aim, always has been, which is why I don't concern myself with other things.'
