Southampton (h) - Stat Attack

With the weekend fixture, against Southampton fast approaching, we thought it was time we looked at the statistics relating to the fixture.

Here are a few for you to mull over:-

1 - Our recent Premier League form against Southampton is good, the Hammers have won 2 and drawn 3 of the last 5 meetings.

2 - The last two Premier League clashes between the two sides have seem emphatic wins for the Hammers with 4-1 and 3-1 scores respectively.

3 - Our recent home form is giving us cause for concern, out of the last 4 Premier League home games the Hammers have lost 3.

4 - Can anyone remember the last time West Ham drew in the Premier League? Apparently we`ve not drawn for 17 Premier League games, winning 8 and losing 9.

5 - If you`re looking for the first goal-scorer you could do worse than choose Carlton Cole, our forward has scored 4 goals in the last 5 Premier League games against Southampton.

6 - Stewart Downing is on something of a roll. After going 44 games without a goal (in all competitions) he has now scored 2 in his last 5 games.

Come on you Irons!
