Richards Rumour Gathers Momentum

With West Ham United intimating that there will be one more addition to the Hammers playing staff before the transfer window shuts, could Micah Richards be that man?

Newspaper talk, this morning, infers that West Ham United have approached Manchester City with regards to the former England international.

It`s reported that the Hammers would like to take Richards on loan for the season; however it would appear that Manchester City would prefer to sell the 26 year-old with a fee of 7 million being the figure quoted.

To me, sat in the editorial chair, the fee seems a realistic price for a defender of his age, experience and class but it remains to be seen if there are sufficient funds left in the transfer budget to support a permanent move.

If we hear anything significant we`ll let you know!
