Hammers in for Big Gun Eto`o

Hammers in for Big Gun Eto`o

With Andy Carroll nursing surgically repaired ankle ligaments that are expected to keep him on the side-lines for four months, newspaper speculation has West Ham linked with a feared marksman.

Released by Chelsea after his short term contract expired, the future of Samuel Eto`o remains cloudy to say the least.

Although Eto`o has been linked with various clubs, no final decision appears to have been made by the Cameroon striker.

However, the news that Eto`o would prefer to stay in London and play in the Premier League should boost West Ham`s chances of landing the striker who has played for some of the best clubs in the land.

We understand that talks are at a preliminary stage and we`ll endeavour to keep you informed if we hear of any developments.
