Young Hammers Keeper Joins Crawley

Young Hammers Keeper Joins Crawley

Albeit on loan

The League One club, Crawley Town, confirmed earlier today that they have secured the services of our young keeper Raphael Spiegel/b>.

The 21 year-old, who is behind Adrian, Jaaskelainen and Henderson in the keeper stakes at Upton Park will join Crawley on a loan period that will last until 16th August.

The loan agreement will see Spiegel available for Crawley`s first three league games of the new campaign.

Talking about securing the services of the keeper the Crawley manager, John Gregory, remarked,

'We have had excellent reports about Raphael. He is 6'5' tall, a commanding presence in the penalty area and a good shot-stopper."

'He`s learning his trade at West Ham and this is an opportunity for him to gain more experience and for us to have a look at him, initially for the next month.'

It`ll be interesting to see how Spiegel gets on at Crawley, we`ll do our best to keep an eye on how he performs.
