Hammers Hunting Portuguese Midfielder

Hammers Hunting Portuguese Midfielder

Several news sources are insinuating that West Ham United Football Club are looking at bringing Raul Meireles to Upton Park.

Meireles, who has experience of the Premier League, having played for Liverpool and Chelsea, is currently playing for the Turkish side, Fenerbahce.

However, despite having two years left on his contract, it is being suggested that the Turkish outfit would be willing to part with the 31 year-old if someone were to make an offer in excess of £3 million.

It`s also suggested that West Ham tried to bring Meireles to Upton Park, unsuccessfully, in the January transfer window.

With our midfield department a little light following the departures of Joe Cole and Jack Collison, it`s suggested that Sam Allardyce sees Meireles as a decent addition to the squad.

We`ll endeavour to offer further information if it becomes available.
