Cole Signs for Aston Villa

Cole Signs for Aston Villa

With his second spell, at West Ham United, having been brought to an end, we were wondering where Joe Cole would end up.

Having spent two spells with us, time at Chelsea and time at Liverpool, as well as a spell in French football with Lille, wondering where Joe would end up next was intriguing us.

Well we need to wait no more with it being announced that Aston Villa have swooped to sign 32 year-old Joe, on a free transfer.

Having successfully passed a medical, Joe will put pen-to-paper on a two year deal for Paul Lambert`s side and, according to the media, has agreed to a pay-cut to obtain the security of a two year deal and to prolong his career in the Premier League.

As is always the case with Joe, we`d like to wish him every success at Villa Park whilst also thanking him for his time spent with us.
