Hammers Miss Out on Lescott?

Back in January, West Ham United Football Club were said to be in the race to bring the former England centre-back, Joleon Lescott, to Upton Park.

With Lescott in the last year of his contract West Ham hoped to lure the 31 year-old to Upton Park, however any such move fizzed out and Lescott stayed with City for the remainder of the season.

Now that the season is over, it is being inferred that West Ham have again tried to bring Lescott to East London but that any such deal has floundered because of a failure to agree terms.

It is also intimated that Queens Park Rangers are now firm favourites to land the defender.

If that`s true then it`s disappointing but I guess we`ll get over it!

Hmm, it's all very confusing! It was my belief that the deal in jan fell thru because citeh didn't want to let him leave without defensive cover?! Now it's because of terms! Maybe we should just ask him whether he wants to come or not! The other thing that is bothering me is qpr, (for so many reasons!). On the one hand it has been reported that they are in all sorts of trouble with fair play regulations and were facing fines and sanctions. The next thing they are linked with and outbidding us on every transfer going! I appreciate paper talk but it's still frustrating never the less! COYI!
