Allardyce Towing the Media Line!

With the Premier League title set to be decided this weekend, West Ham United have a key role to play.

Two scenarios exist!

The first would see us turn up at the Etihad and roll over and let Manchester City take a second title in three years, whilst the second would see us turn up and become the party-poopers and deprive City of the point they need to be crowned champions thereby handing the title to Liverpool.

It would appear that Sam Allardyce has been sucked into the media trap whereby they`re convincing everybody that Liverpool deserves to win the title and that everyone wants to see the do it.

I`m surmising that in the eyes of the media Wes Ham will turn up at the Etihad, put in a heroic performance capped by a goal from the former Liverpool forward Andy Carroll, possibly another from another ex-Liverpool player in Stewart Downing and a third from another ex-Liverpool player, Joe Cole, coming on as a substitute.

In the eyes of the media it`d be the perfect finish to a Liverpool season long love fest!

But to most football supporters who have travelled to Liverpool, either recently or perhaps in the distant past, memories of just what they`re like alienate, immediately, any support for their title winning hopes.

To me an ideal scenario tomorrow would be for Andy Carroll to score ad for West Ham to draw, thereby giving us a creditable result, City the point they need for the title and Liverpool getting what most travelling supporters want most - b*gg*r all!
