Lescott Interest Reignited!

Lescott Interest Reignited!

Nestling amongst the plethora of transfer gossip is something that might interest Hammers supporters.

Back in January, when the transfer window was still open, we were amongst a couple of clubs that were looking to snap up the experienced Manchester City defender, Joleon Lescott.

Unable to secure a regular starting place at the Etihad, Lescott was a player many perceived could be tempted away by the lure of regular first team football.

As things turned out Lescott remained with Manchester City.

However, there are strong rumours that the ex-England defender will be moving on this summer and that, although he is said to be currently on £90,000 a week he would be prepared to accept less.

At 31 years of age, Lescott still, you`d think, has several more years in the tank and all that remains is to fight off our opposition for his signature which is said to include, at the moment, the Turkish club Besiktas.

We`ll keep you informed!
