Rat Deserts Ship!

It would appear that Razvan Rat`s tenure as a West Ham United player will go down in the record books as a short one.

The Romanian defender has left Upton Park after the club decided that it would be easier to pay off the defenders contract, a contract that paid him 30.000 a week, rather than see him activate a clause in his contract that would have seen him earn a new contract offer once he`d played in 60% of the clubs games.

Although a competent player, the 32-year-old never really captured the fans hearts and his signing probably won`t go down in the history as one of our best.

However, it`d be churlish not to wish him all the best as he searches for a new club.
