Sam Doesn`t Know Who Is Coming?

Sam Doesn`t Know Who Is Coming?

The transfer window has been open for twenty-two days now and West Ham United have yet to bring in any new players of any significance.

Sure, we`ve stiffened up our defence (or have we?) with the signing of the ageing Roger Johnson but nobody has been brought in to add that much needed something to our ailing performances.

There may be eight or nine days to go and Big Sam may uncover some cheap undiscovered nuggets but from his comments last night I wouldn`t hold your breath.

When pressed on the subject Big Sam remarked,

"I haven`t got a clue who we might be signing at the moment."

"Every time I get a signing, someone comes and f***** nicks him off me."

A point emphasized by the fact that Lacina Traore, who looked to be on the verge of signing for West Ham, was granted, yesterday, a work permit to play for Everton. In a way it is indicative of the way things are, who would you rather play for:-

a - a club struggling to avoid relegation?

Or

b - a club chasing down a Champions League place?
