Lescott Deal Agreed But………

Sunday rumour-mill has West Ham United linked with the acquisition of a very well-known centre back.

With our defensive woes continuing, following the red-card received by James Tomkins and the bad injury suffered by Guy Demel, the suggestion being peddled by the media is that West Ham United Football Club have agreed a deal that would see Joleon Lescott join us, from Manchester City.

However doubts are cast about the deal actually going through with it being intimated that Manchester City, although apparently sanctioning the deal, are reluctant to let Lescott come to Upton Park until after the 20th January. I wonder why!
