Lambert Keen to Come..........But!

Sam Allardyce, desperate to sign a striker, still has ambitions of landing Southampton`s England international striker, Rickie Lambert.

A fee of 8 million appears to be the price required to acquire the thirty-one year old but the deal has, so we`re told, been put on hold.

Whilst Lambert, who is struggling to get a regular start for the south-coast club at the moment; is keen to come it appears that Southampton won`t entertain a deal unless they can secure the services of a replacement.

We`ll endeavour to keep you abreast of any information we can muster.

What nonsense on what basis do you say he is keen to come
Ian Clay
"Keen to come" - what is your source? Who says Lambert is looking for a Championship (bound) team? Can't imagine there will be much transfer activity for Wet Spam, other than players leaving. The icing on the cake will be the massive loss on Andy Carroll, the most overpriced and overrated player since Ali Dia.
