'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Destiny Beckons for Morrison?

The stage is set, this afternoon, for Ravel Morrison to show Manchester United what they let go.

Morrison, who had something of a bad-boy reputation whilst at Old Trafford, was let go by Sir Alex Ferguson who was, seemingly; unable to control his wayward side and was snapped up by Sam Allardyce for what could be deemed a pittance these days.

The rest they say is history and Morrison, after a season long loan deal at Birmingham City, is now heralded as one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League.

Ahead of the fixture against Manchester United, this afternoon, Sir Alex Ferguson has reflected on bringing Ravel to Upton Park, remarking,

"There were a few mooted bigger clubs than ours who wanted him."

"But that would have been a mistake had he gone here because that might have ended up with him having the same problems he had at Manchester United."

"Football is his all, it`s all he wants to be and all he wants to do but he wants first team football - that`s his mentality."

"If he`s not playing first-team football he wouldn`t be happy where he is - whether it be here or Manchester."

Could it happen this afternoon?

Could Pavel join that lengthening list of players who have scored against their former clubs?
