Ba - A January Target

Ba - A January Target

The media have a theory that another former player is on the verge of returning to Upton Park.

With goals a rarity these days the press is under the impression that, come January, Sam Allardyce will make a bid to bring the out-of-favour Chelsea striker, Demba Ba, to Upton Pak.

Ba, a former favourite of the Hammers and a player that scored regularly in his first spell with us, before opting to move to Newcastle United, was a target for Allardyce in the summer and Sam has offered the press a few words about the reference subject, commenting,

"We tried to get three top loan strikers who play in this country but we failed to get all three. They went elsewhere and played for another club and one stayed where he was."

"We will have to try again depending how Carlton and Mladen go before the end of January. If they come good and Andy gets back there will be no need for another striker."

Will they come good or should we go and get Demba Ba back?
