'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hammers Victims of Fantasy Football

The last gasp goal, from our summer target Romelu Lukaku, may have been like a dagger through the heart as far as West Ham Supporters are concerned, but watching the replay, on TV, of the other two Everton goals did bring a grudging smile to my face.

Trying to work out if we could have done anything better, defending wise, to stop those two free kicks from Leighton Baines, I came to the conclusion that they should simply be watched and admired for their sheer brilliance.

It`s no wonder that Baines was to confess afterwards that some fantasy banter with his team-mate, Leon Osman, inspired those two wonderful moments.

Just one of those days I`m putting it down to!
