Carroll Update!

Andy Carroll may be missing from the West Ham squad that`s making its way to Newcastle this weekend but there is some good news on his injury.

Although Andy would, probably, have relished paying in front of the supporters that idolized him during his time at St James Park, the heel injury has prevented him form doing so.

In fact the heel injury, picked up in the final game of last season, has proven troublesome in clearing up, but Sam Allardyce has revealed that Carroll is getting closer to pulling on a first team shirt again remarking to the media,

"Over the next few days I expect him to step up training."

But the big question remains as to when he`ll actually be available for selection!
