Clean Sheets the Order of the Day

James Collins, although he withdrew from the midweek international fixtures, was able to shake off his injury and take up his normal position at the heart of the Hammers defence.

In the aftermath of our first day win, Collins gave an insight into a chief aim this season, remarking,

"The key to us staying up was our home form. Sam Allardyce reminded us before this game that we lost just four at home last season."

"We base every performance on a clean sheet. If we keep a clean sheet, we can`t lose a game."

Common, but very logical sense I`d say!
