Cole on Hammers Good Start

Cole on Hammers Good Start

Hopefully Joe Cole can stay injury free this season and show, in a World Cup season, he is still a class act.

The manner in which he scored the opening goal today was indicative of just that, turning in one move and sending a shot past the keeper.

After the game, Joe had this to say to the media about the win, commenting,

'I think it is very important that we got off to a winning start. Before the first game you feel nerves, apprehension and tension but we have got a win and we can kick on from here."

'We want to improve on last year and do better than last year. Our away form needs to be better this season, and we will look to start improving that at Newcastle next week.'

St James Park, next week, will certainly be a tougher test, hopefully we`ll be up for it!
