Diarra Seizes His Chance?

Last season Alou Diarra played nothing more than a peripheral role at Upton Park.

A lack of first team action and complaining about his situation saw him sent off on loan.

It was widely accepted that the 32 year-old former French captain would be on the move this summer with his West Ham career done and dusted.

But that doesn`t necessarily appear to be the case now!

With Gary O`Neil failing to agree a new contract Diarra has taken advantage of the gap in the squad and has played in the majority of the pre-season games we`ve had so far, suggesting that he could, very well, force his way into Sam Allardyce`s plans for the coming season.
