From Hammer to Seagull!

Many Hammers fans were a little surprised when Matthew Upson left Upton Park.

Many saw Upson as a loyal Hammer, but life has its surprises doesn`t it?

Upson decided that a spell at Stoke City was for him, unfortunately that spell didn`t go as planned and, last season, Upson spent time on loan at the Championship club Brighton and Hove Albion, for whom he made 20 appearances.

This morning it is being intimated that Upson is set to become a permanent feature on the south-coast with it being inferred the Seagulls wish to strike a permanent deal with Stoke City for the 34 year-old free agent.

It sounds like a decent enough deal for all parties to us!
