Benefit Match Update

Benefit Match Update

Yesterday we mentioned how our very own Joe Cole would be appearing in a charity match at Stevenage.

What we didn`t know was that Joe would be amongst a host of West Ham players turning out to raise money for Joe`s late brother-in-law Mitchell.

In an entertaining affair, whereby a Mitchell Cole XI beat a Stevenage XI 7-4 with Matt Jarvis netting a brace, and Andy Carroll, Kevin Nolan and James Collins also getting on the score-sheet.

The game was attended by a healthy crowd of 2,306 prompting Joe to comment afterwards,

"It was a good send off for Mitchell and we raised a lot of money for charity."

Glad to hear it.
