Big Sam - Manager of the Year?

Well, why not?

Although all the plaudits will probably go to Sir Alex Ferguson for wrestling the title back from Manchester City, Neil McDonald reckons Big Sam should be in the running for the 'Manager of the Year` award.

Speaking after West Ham had carved out a 0-0 draw with Newcastle United, Neil had this to say,

"We privately set a target of the top 10 and broke the season down into small goals."

"We have achieved our target so I don`t see why he should not be considered for Manager of the Season.

"We haven`t been involved in a relegation fight at all."

Which, considering we were a newly promoted club; is quite an achievement.
