Good Time To Play City?

Good Time To Play City?

SATURDAY'S FIXTURES:
Arsenal v Sheff Utd 15.00
Aston Villa v Charlton 15.00
Fulham v Chelsea 15.00
Liverpool v Tottenham 12.45
Man City v West Ham 15.00
Middlesbro' v Blackburn 15.00
Reading v Man Utd 17.15
Wigan Athletic v Watford 15.00

West Ham travel to Manchester on Saturday for a match that will answer a lot of questions about both sides. City lost to basement club Blackburn Rovers at the weekend, and Stuart Pearce knows the fans view Saturday as a 'crossroads'.

Although it isn't a 'win or bust' match for Alan Pardew, it sure is for Pearce. The man insists he is still the right man to manage Manchester City.

Some sections of the Blues support are becoming increasingly disillusioned with the former England skipper.

Sunday's defeat at Blackburn means the Eastlands outfit have now lost an incredible 11 of their last 12 Premiership away games and picked up only four points from five matches this season.

A good time to play them? Personally I'd rather play a side in a rut than one on a roll.

Pearce: 'I think I am the right man in this job. Pressure is part of the job. That is why I wanted to be a Premiership manager. If I felt as though there was no pressure, I probably wouldn't be doing it.

'Manchester City supporters have followed this club through thick and thin. They were disappointed on Sunday, as were the players.

'But, unless I am living in a bubble, I don't really see people having a go at me.

'I spoke with the chairman and chief executive straight after Sunday's game. I didn't get any indication from them they were having a go at me and I have not seen it in the media. I don't see it and I don't feel it.'
