'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gold Tribute to Moore

The term great is bandied about far too often for my liking.

If I were to be honest, I wouldn`t deem any of our present squad to be great, just decent footballers.

Last night, Upton Park paid tribute to one of our true greats Bobby Moore with David Gold our co-owner summing matters up perfectly when talking about the gentleman himself,

"If Bobby Moore had been alive today we`d all have realized he was a great player, a man who won a World Cup, but also a gentleman and an honest man as well."

"He`d be a superstar today had he not been taken by cancer."

Indeed he would and I doubt whether the game will ever see someone of his ilk again.
