'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Best Behaviour Please!

It seems our good friends from White Hart Lane had an experience and a half in Europe this week.

Having been set upon in Rome, several Spurs followers were the victim of what Police are describing a racial incident in Lyon on Wednesday night, an incident where right-wing followers of the local club attacked a bar.

Ahead of our encounter with Tottenham, this forthcoming Monday evening, West Ham United have, we feel quite rightly, inserted a warning in the match-day programme that the club and the Police, will come down hard on anybody caught doing anything of a racist nature.

You have been warned!

Fair play to you. I actually think too much is being made about our use of the 'y' word, it's been going on for years, and even if we were to stop now, teams in Europe would still make racial attacks. Enough about the dark side of football though. As a Spurs fan I can wait for Monday night, always a good atmosphere at your place, I think it will be very tight, I'm going to go with a 1-1.....

Good post Rossy. Lets hope for a well tempered game from fans and players.

Well put Rossy hope no fans from either side let themselves down on a night that should be about celebrating the memory of the great Sir Bobby Moore

Lloris will be back between the sticks for this one so the only thing Tottenham need to worry about will be the high balls in to the box. If that's dealt with i can see a rare clean sheet for Spurs. Bale will be smarting from drawing a blank in France t'other night so expect a performance from the Welsh Ronaldo. West Ham surely won't line up 3-4-3 in this one? Too much threat from the wings to contemplate that. If Bale's man marked, or at least doubled up on, i can see Joe Cole dropping out of the line for this one to throw a more defensively minded player in. Carroll scored at the Lane so i bet the tactics will be to get it up top to him early. Maybe West ham will play 5 at the back with Taylor and O'Brien pushing on from the wing back position to try and counter Lennon and Bale? I'd go with Vertonghen and Dawson in this, i don't think Gallas is suited to the kind of game West Ham will throw at Tottenham. If Tottenham handle the long ball ok i can see a 0-2 scoreline. Stick my neck out here and say Ade will find the net...for both!!!!
