'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Carroll Call

Any hopes that Andy Carroll might take advantage of the injuries that have befallen the England squad have been quashed.

Although Roy Hodgson has lost two forwards (Jermaine Defoe and Daniel Sturridge) along with a midfielder (Michael Carrick), the England boss has decided to stick with the 21 fit players he still has for the international friendly with Brazil.

In hindsight, it`s probably a good thing for West Ham United Football Club, although Andy might think otherwise, seeing as it`s not that long since the striker returned to fitness and isn`t quite, up to speed as far as being match-fit goes.

Or put more simply, if he doesn`t play for England he can`t come back injured!
