Carroll on Fitness Battle!

Carroll on Fitness Battle!

Although, in our build-up to the game against Swansea, we predicted that Andy Carroll would play a part, we didn`t realize he`d start or play such a significant part in scoring the winning goal.

Returning from injury, we`re hoping that Carroll can go on to recapture, on a permanent basis, the glimpses of form he showed in between getting injured.

Speaking to the media after the final whistle, Carroll discussed the difficulties associated with a stop-start campaign, remarking,

"Coming into a new team, getting injured, having a couple of games back, and then getting injured again was very hard."

"Being in the changing room and seeing all the lads go out training when I had to go to the gym and the treatment room, it was difficult."

"But obviously I am back now, I have been working hard to stay fit as much as possible and today I got the goal and the points."

More of the same will do us nicely!
