Olsson Bid Imminent

Following our poor defensive display, up at the Stadium of Light, the inference is there that Big Sam will be looking at stiffening up the defence via recruiting.

One possible recruit and someone who has been mentioned before is the Blackburn defender, Martin Olsson.

Previously, a price tag of £7 million had seen West Ham back off but with the defence being our unraveling, again, the tabloid press expect Big Sam to go go back t Ewood Park with some kind of improved offer.

Discussing the shambles that passed for our defence, Big Sam wryly remarked, following the defeat to Sunderland,

"We`ll see when I wake up on Monday. Then we`ll see what`s what, where`s where and who wants to go here there and everywhere."

We wait with baited breath!
