'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Maguire Signs

Yesterday we reported, briefly, on how a BBC Sport journalist was insistent that West Ham United would be signing the young Waterford United striker Sean Maguire.

Well he proved to be perfectly right with the eighteen year old putting pen-to-paper on a two and a half year deal late yesterday.

Maguire arrives at Upton Park having scored 13 goals in 24 games and has remarked about the move,

"This really is a dream come true."

Whilst we don`t expect Sean to feature in anything other than reserve team football in the coming months, we`ll still be keeping a close eye on his progress and will be reporting back!
