There`s a break in the hectic Premier League action this weekend with the FA Cup taking centre stage.
This weekend will see the greatest domestic cup competition in the world get kick-started as we enter round three of the tournament.
The draw for the 3rd round paired us with Manchester United, a tie that has a magical feeling about it but also a tie that is probably as difficult as they come.
United are flying at the top of the Premier League table and although they`ll probably field a weakened side, with expectation levels high in the Premier League and Champions League, they`ll be looking to sweep us aside to reach found four.
Mark Noble, who captained the side with Kevin Nolan suspended last Saturday, has spoken about one problem West Ham may have to deal with, their 19 goal striker Robin van Persie, with Noble remarking,
"It`s anyone`s guess how you stop Van Persie, we might have to build a brick wall in front of goal."
"It will be a great FA Cup and we`re looking forward to it."
"Our main aim obviously is to stay mid-table in the league, but when you play Manchester United at home in the FA Cup, you get that extra edge and buzz, and we are going to want to win."
Of course we do and having shocked them in the League Cup, not in the too distant past, we can do it again can`t we?
