Cole Red Card Rescinded

Having launched an appeal, the red card awarded to Carlton Cole has been rescinded.

At the time, it appeared to be a very harsh decision to show Carlton a straight red for his challenge on Leighton Baines, as it seemed more accidental than on purpose.

The appeals committee appear to have agreed with the news filtering through that the red card has been annulled.

With Andy Carroll out injured, Carlton will be a valuable addition to the squad this weekend when we take on Reading.
