Beckham?

Beckham?

It could, or even should, have been a headline that grabbed the nation by the balls.

Instead a possible return to East London for David Beckham, as he contemplates leaving LA Galaxy, has been pushed aside by those tramps from Stamford Bridge sacking yet another manager.

But, is there a real chance of the legend that is David Beckham pulling on a claret and blue shirt?

The bookmakers seem to think so with Upton Park being their second favoured destination.

Naturally, signing Beckham would be a financial expense that the board probably wouldn`t have budgeted for but the financial outlay, you`d think, be more than covered by merchandise sales.

Perhaps the biggest problem though would be the circus that surrounds the player, is it something that West Ham would welcome?

I guess the answers to these, and several more questions, will be forthcoming over the next few days / weeks or months!
