Dreaming of Europe

A dream too far?

Looking at the current predicaments Reading and Southampton find themselves in, after getting promoted alongside ourselves last season, makes you more appreciative of how good our start to the season has been.

Now whether we can capitalize on that only time will tell, but we can but dream of finishing high enough to achieve European football next season.

If that were the case, then Big Sam would be able to pit his wits against the best there is, something which Kevin Nolan believes he deserves with our club captain remarking,

"I think the boss deserves to be mingling with the top managers week-in week-out."

"I have lots of admiration for him and what he has done for me as a player."

"After working with him for a long time I firmly believe he belongs in the Premier League and I`m a bit gutted he hasn`t been given that chance with a really top club."

"He has worked at top clubs but I mean a club that is always in the top four or five so he can have a go at the Champions League."


Now I`ll accept that the Champions League may be a bridge too far but there`s no reason, if we can continue our good start, why we can`t take a look at the Europa League is there?
