'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Not Offside but Happy!

Saturday, against Manchester City, could have turned out so different.

If the officials hadn`t of got it wrong when the flag was raised after Kevin Nolan netted after beating the offside trap, we`d have taken the lead and City would have had to chase the game big-time.

After the game, Big Sam mused over events and had the following to say,

"It should`ve have been a goal. You want it to stand when it`s a perfectly good goal - and we feel it was."

"At such an early stage it would have given us the momentum to carry on."

"You want the officials to get it right - and it wasn`t a correct decision."

"Had City won it would`ve been a bitter blow because any team that goes behind away from home finds it difficult to win, even Manchester City, United or Arsenal."

But we have to be satisfied we`ve taken a point off the champions."

Indeed we do, as I said in my pre-match preview I`d be perfectly happy with a draw and that`s what we got!
