Noble`s Thoughts

Cometh the hour cometh the man!

One of those oft used sayings but a saying that epitomizes Saturday afternoon.

With the first half being one to forget, it was Mark Noble who stepped forward and provided the spark that set us on the road to gather three more points.

Strikes from a free kick and also from the penalty spot, left Southampton struggling and ensured the Hammers took all three points, thereby continuing their good start to the season.

After the dust had died down at Upton Park, Noble, interviewed by the media, gave his thoughts on the game and also our god start to the season, commenting,

"We didn`t really play that well as a team. As long as we go in 0-0 at half time we`ve always got a chance of winning the game."

"That`s what we did today. We know we can score the goals."

"We got dealt a good start in terms of fixtures. I know every game in this league is tough but compared to some of the starts it was quite a good one."

"But then you`re under pressure to put points on the board and we`ve done that."

"We`re going into a run of tough, tough games, against the best teams in the league and we need to be ready for that."

I`m sure you`ll all agree that it is better to have those points on the board now and then be contemplating taking on the big boys than the other way around.
