Carroll Praised

Circumstances, namely that we, as a country, have nobody better in the role, will dictate that Andy Carroll will play a part in the internationals coming up.

Carroll may not be needed to get past the minnows of San Marino but Poland could be a more difficult proposition.

Speaking about Carroll, Big Sam has re-iterated

"He`s an unbelievable player and he can only get better."

"Anybody that does not fear Andy Carroll is foolish. He can only get better as time goes on."

"As long as we keep giving him the service, I think he`s going to be a tremendous asset."

"But Andy is really lacking in match practice. What I will speak to Roy about is his fatigue level."

"Andy will be stiffer than everybody else after this because he hasn`t played a full 90 minutes in recent weeks."

"So he will take a bit more time to recover. But he should be fine for Friday and hopefully he will get a game at some stage to improve his match fitness."

It will be nice to see a Hammer, albeit on loan, don an England shirt for a change, let`s hope he doesn`t suffer any reaction to the injury.
