Sam Argues Against Yellow Cards For……..

I`m not sure I agree with Big Sam on this one!

But following the yellow card Diame received for celebrating his goal against Arsenal, before the walls came tumbling down, Big Sam had this to say about yellow cards for goal celebrations,

"I don`t think refs should book players for that."

"But they are only doing what they are told aren`t they?"

"And they`re told by their own bosses to do it, they`re told by the police. So you`ve got to be careful."

"But it`s all right them saying to me 'Can`t you control your players?"

"Well nobody can control themselves when they score a goal so we shouldn`t punish them for it."

Is Sam right or am I?

Yellow cards for celebrating are a joke... Football has a real problem if it incites buffoons to violence. If you just do it generally on the pitch & don't run up to the opposition supporters stands it's fine.

as long as it isn't ott then they should be allowed, this is meant to be an entertainment industry and why shouldn't players celebrate a goal ffs?! So many petty rules in life!
