Diame Gets Lucky!
When the ball hit the back of the net and Diame wheeled away in triumph, I probably wasn`t the only person, inside Upton Park, who thought we were on a roll.
Sadly, it all went down hill after that moment, Diame received a yellow card for his celebrations whilst Arsenal went on to record an emphatic win.
In hindsight, Diame was lucky not to be red-carded, seeing as minutes after he`d received that yellow card for the goal celebration he committed a poor tackle on Mikel Arteta.
Speaking about just that after the game, the former Wigan midfielder had this to say,
"The first booking was my fault but I was very worried about the second. I realized it was a mistake and so did the referee."
One small mercy from what turned out to be a bad afternoon!
