A Smart Move?
All week long we`ve been looking at the possibility of Andy Carroll being called up for England in a negative light.
We were fearful that such a call-up could leave us without our star forward for another month or so if the hamstring injury re-occurs.
But, Big Sam has looked a this call up in a positive light, remarking to the media,
"Going off to England would be a good thing for us and him because he is short on match fitness."
"I`ll liaise with Roy but Andy`s in a position to play. He must just be careful about fatigue because that`s what injuries bring."
"Helping him to perform for England and catch up on match fitness would be ideal for the pair of us."
