Despite the plea by Sam Allardyce that Andy Carroll is far from match fit and shouldn`t be selected by England, it looks as if that plea may be ignored.
Roy Hodgson was noticeable by his presence at Loftus Road, on Monday night, and an FA insider has provided a red-top publication with a comment that reads;
"There was only one reason why Hodgson was at the game - that was to see the best young striker in the country and to check out his fitness."
"It`s no coincidence that he stayed for the entire match."
