West Ham v Wigan Preview (Capital One Cup)
I`ll keep this short but sweet!
The Capital One Trophy is one of only two trophies we have a realistic chance of winning this season, the other being the FA Cup.
We`re not living under the grand illusion that we can win the Premier League or even qualify for Europe, but a domestic cup, you just never know.
Therefore, I`d urge Big Sam to treat the competition seriously as a god cup run can do wonders for confidence.
Okay, I expect a smattering of youngsters to put in an appearance but make sure we have some experienced heads to guide us through.
As for the expected attendance, I`m hoping the initiative of selling tickets cheap, £10 for adults and £5 for children, in advance, helps boost the attendance.
But, if you`re for a bumper following for our opposition then don`t hold your breath. Our sources reckoned that Wigan had sold only 69 tickets for the clash when the last enquiry was submitted to the DW Stadium Ticket Office!
