Points on the Board
It`s been a decent enough start to the season, our home form seems to be generating the points that should see us survive in the top flight, but we all know we should take nothing for granted.
Even more so when you look at what`s looming on the Premier League horizon and clashes with what many term to the 'bigger-boys` of the Premier League.
Therefore Big Sam is probably talking sense when he remarked after the gallant draw against Sunderland,
"Points on the board for us are critical with a difficult group of fixtures looming around the corner."
"The more we pick up at this stage, the less pressure we will have when the games get tougher."
Looking at how previous campaigns have gone, I`d say it is absolutely essential to stay out of that bottom three, dallying around that low in the table tends to see you sucked into a battle you almost never get out of.
