Nolan`s Forward Thinking!
On Saturday, all that huffing and puffing against Sunderland never looked as if it was going to pay-off.
For all our efforts the Sunderland rearguard held firm and there was a huge sigh of relief when Kevin Nolan finally hit the net, but then again goals like that always seem to be the ones that people remember more than those scored earlier on.
After the game, Kevin Nolan spoke about the late goal and also something that we touché don last week, the possible pairing, when fit, of Andy Carroll and Carlton Cole in a two-pronged assault, remarking,
"It always feels sweeter to do it like that. It would have been criminal if they had gone away with more than a point."
"You are always going to miss quality player like Andy, but Carlton has come in and done a good job - and it`s going to be interesting to see if they play together when they are both fit because they will scare the life out of defenders."
But only if we can get the ball up to them!
