West Ham - Stoke Back in for Cole!

West Ham - Stoke Back in for Cole!

It`s being reported in one leading tabloid that West Ham United have turned down a bid from Stoke City for Carlton Cole.

The bid is said to be in the region of £9 million with Tony Pulis keen to lure our ten goal striker to the Potteries.

The same tabloid goes on to infer that Stoke may come back with a revised bid and an ex-Hammer, Matthew Etherington, appears to be doing his best to entice Cole to the Britannia Stadium, being quoted as saying,

"It would be a good move for him to come here."

"Given the ideas the manager has and the way the club want to push forward, I`d definitely recommend it."

"Coley is a London boy but it wouldn`t be a problem for him living up here - just as it hasn`t been for me. I`d tell him it was the best move I could have made."

Could Carlton really be on the verge of going?

And yet not one mention of tapping up... I take it G&S are going to sue Stoke as well???? Unbelievable.

Erm could that be because Pullis didn't talk to the press about Cole before getting his chairman to make a bid?

erm, No one from Spurs said anything about Parker. The first anyone knew about it was when YOUR chairman came out and said Spurs have made a bid. Do you people know anything about football.
